Stereophonic
Stereophonic made such big waves in the USA that it has become a record-breaker, with more Tony nominations than any other production in history – 13 – and five Tony wins. That's just the tip of the awards iceberg for this critically acclaimed show, in the capital to delight London audiences for the first time. Three awe-inspiring actor-musicians sit at the heart of a powerful plot. Eli Gelb makes his London stage debut, reprising an acclaimed performance on Broadway where he won a Tony nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play plus the Drama League Distinguished Performance Award. Chris Stack also makes his London stage debut, reprising his Broadway role. And this is Andrew R. Butler's London stage debut, again reprising his smash hit Broadway role.
The plot follows a rock band on the verge of stardom as they attempt to record the album that might or might not turn them into legends. Wil they make it, or will they break up before the magic is set to vinyl? The Scenic Designer is David Zinn, the Costume Designer is Enver Chakartash and the Lighting Designer is Jiyoun Chang. Sound design comes from Ryan Rumery and the Music Director is Justin Craig. The Orchestrations are by Will Butler and Justin Craig, with Hair and Wig Design by Robert Pickens and Katie Gell, and UK Casting by Julia Horan CDG. If you love rock music, don't miss this one!
